About me

Thank you for visiting my blog, The Writer in Me. I was born a seeker, a student if you will. I have chased that elusive goal through education and beyond. The more I sought, the less I knew. So I’ve concluded, the key to unlock life’s many mysteries, isn’t a key at all – it is in the journey and I am on my way, wherever this path takes me.

I have rekindled an old passion for music, poetry, literature and the arts. I hope to nurture my artistic side by meeting other like-minded people.  I will be sharing my writings, mostly in form of poetry and short essays. I don’t know where this writing will take me, but it will be a better place than what I have known in the past.

Thanks for reading.

  1. Thank you so much for liking my (about) have a nice day.jalal

  2. I have discovered that you feel much the same way about the gun violence in this country as I and many others do and so I have decided that your post about the problem is a very valuable educational tool – – so I have taken the liberty of re-posting it on my own blog so that all my readers can share your very important insights into this tragic problem. I am hoping this will be alright with you as I did not see any copyright restrictions on your blog. If this is not alright with you, please communicate with me and I will remove the reblog. Thanks and keep up the good work. I love your blog!

  3. Great introduction!!!

“I am a student of life.” – I can completely relate to this, too! I feel the same way. No matter how much you think you know, life still has much to teach.

You have worthy goals and I hope you are able to achieve them.

I look forward to reading more from you in the future. Welcome to the world of blogging, and I think you will do just fine. You are off to a great start!

      1. Thank you. I am not a poet, though. I am more of a prose writer, if I may be so charitable as to say so. I will pop by now and then; you are welcome to do the same.

      2. Clever! I visited your blog again to verify what I initially suspected, I think you might be more of a poet than what you give yourself credit. But I see more “Bursts” the second time around. Really liked the 10 things you had about blogging (somehow it was the movies category), even went as far as visiting the Chinese page but it didn’t make me think, it made me laugh (at the picture!). Finally I like the vicious monkey, so feel free to send him or her over after you read this reply! Have a good night 🙂

  4. Oh, your blog is beautiful! 🙂

The best lines on your About Me page… Glad you dream and glad you are working to fulfill all of them..

  6. Greetings Parmis,
I really liked the sincerity and openness of your biography, which shows much courage and strength of character. I sincerely wish you all the best in living and expressing that which you’re passionate about. Take great care and God bless.

    1. Wow, this is truly an honor! I am a hopeless procrastinator but I promise I’ll do my best to pass this along 😉 It was such a treat to read your response to the award. As for the 10 questions, hope you believe when I say my answers would be almost identical to yours. Odd numbers, cats, gifts to myself, …! Thanks again Mara

      1. Oh, thank you so much for not hating me! As a professional procrastinator myself, I I fully understand your concerns, so don’t push yourself – the main thing is for you to know that your work is appreciated and that’s it 😀 Cheers and long live cats!
