Pink Clouds


Clouds
velvety soft
inked white
pink and light
sprinkled atop
skies blue
She sees them true
as I used to
long, long ago.
Sun golden
peaks through
Veil has lifted
A warm breath
snow is melting
Spring pink
soft, light
Bask in this glow
A true delight

I don’t know when I stopped looking at the clouds, it happened so gradually I didn’t see it coming. I used to, I really did. There is this vague memory, or perhaps a dream not so distant. My little girl pointed out pink clouds the other day as yet another cold front passed through our town hence this little poem. I so treasure seeing the world through her eyes and words … Thanks for reading
