Uninspired

I feel uninspired
No poems, no jokes, no story
An unpleasant feeling

  1. Sorry to hear it. This too shall pass.

    What about this?

β€œMen fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth, more than ruin, more even than death. Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man.”
    Bertrand Russell

  2. Uninspired? Take a deep breathe! There is always inspiration. It springs from within and can see good, courage, strength and wisdom even in the vilest of things.
Cheer up and breathe; there is inspiration within you!

  3. All I was going to say–about the irony of a wonderful Haiku being inspired by a feeling of being uninspired–was mentioned by others. But I will add one thing: we all hit uninspiring blank walls, in poetry, in art, in fiction, in the process of creating anything. But you wrote on the wall…inspiring us all.

    1. Thank you … I didn’t think of it that way and I was so frustrated that night. I will cherish your wonderful comment and remember to “write on the wall” when I hit it again.

  4. I go through periods like this all the time. I think it happens to all writers. Even when we are not writing though we are experiencing life, which is providing us material for our writing.
