I’m not a “me”

I am not a “me”
I am a “we”
There is a baby in there
A toddler, a teen
A youth, a student
There is a lover
A poet, a writer
You’ll find a musician
A player and a wonderer
Even a scientist and a doctor
There is a mother, a wife, a daughter
I am not a “me”
I am a “we”
They show up here and there
sometimes a few of them together
To gently remind me
That I am not just a “me”
