Snow

Last night
you weren’t there
when I went to bed
I would have seen you
This morning
when I woke up
there you were
You snuck up on me
while I was asleep
a blanket of white
had covered the yard
and settled atop the trees
Eight hours have past
you are not there anymore
and I haven’t a picture
to remind me
that you were here

  1. Is this a new poem? It is so just like the snow when I was in Oregon. It would suddenly be there in the morning but then vanish by noon like it had never been. You are good with nature.
